Look at that hair!

Man, Pan Pan's hair is getting long, but that's what hair clips are for, right? Gene calls this the Bruce Lee hair-do:

"Oh, I'm so angry!" (in actuality she's making a "bbbbbb" sound with her lips)"

Lots of hair...............and...................no hair:

It's taken her 4 months...

...but now she's finally giving us kisses. It's pretty darn awesome! Who knew kisses from your own child would fill you with such glee? OK, well, maybe I had an inkling that it would be pretty nice. OK, OK...it's one of the best things ever!! My heart melts every time.

Trying to fill Daddy's shoes:
Deep in thought (I wonder what she's thinking):
No, it's not Hammer time and those aren't M.C. Hammer pants, Esther's wearing a dress:

What to do on a cold Seattle day?

Well, my sister and I had great plans to take the kids swimming on Saturday...so we got everyone packed up and headed to the pool. But alas, it was closed for repair (although it was supposed to be open again on Sat). So what else could we do besides go to the local McDonald's and treat the kids to the germ-fest that is the play area. Esther, of course, wanted to join in the fun. Bela was a trooper and took her with him. He was great maneuvering her through all the tubes, netting and slides. He was exhausted afterwards but she had a blast!

Lounging on Sunday (do you like her ponytail?):

What'sup?

I love books...and really love kids' books! So I enrolled Esther in the Children's Book of the Month Club. Here's her backpack she got free with our first order:

A Day of Fun at the Pacific Science Center.

Wait...no picture of Esther...how did this get in here:
We got to explore the many joys of the human body at the Grossology exhibit. Here's Cousin Tommy climbing the wall of skin (yep, those are various zits and blackheads):

Pan Pan wanted to join in on the climbing with all the big kids so bad. The wall of puss-filled pimples was intriguing...however she did get to explore the inside of a nose. So there's that.

Here she is at the toddler play area, deciding whether or not to go down the slide:
