When I've been remiss in taking pictures...

Esther picks up the slack. She likes our camera more than she likes her own, probably because it has a large viewing screen. Here's our home from Esther's perspective:

OK, this is the one picture I took this week, of Esther's very long creation. According to her it's a robot.

Esther had her 3rd gymnastics class this week and she did much better. No crying, but she did need Mom close in the beginning. She does so well with other kids...even when one little girl pulled her hair to get a turn at the rings. E just looked at her as if to say, "what are you doing?", and then she gave her a turn. She even went up to this same girl later and said, "My name Esther, what your name?" So sweet!!!

Esther turned 3 on Saturday, so we got her an ice cream cake. Apparently our singing of "Happy Birthday" was not music to her ears because she yelled, "STOP!" quite emphatically.

Sunday we ventured out in the cold with Nana Carolyn to the railroad bridge. Afterwards we needed some warming up, so we got some hot chocolate which E thought was pretty "delisis".

When we returned home after the weekend, we had a card waiting from Meilyn, E's Guiping sister. As soon as Esther saw Meilyn's painting, she started singing "Wow, wow, Wubbzy."

Esther's birthday is Saturday. Her present from her relatives in California was a Dora playground set.

Some things never change...

A few days ago, biting on the camera strap.

Ten and 1/2 months old, doing the same exact thing.

With her "Minnie Mouse" hair clips in, as she calls them.

It was a beautiful and crisp day today. Good day for Esther's favorite past-time: swinging. I swear that girl could swing forever. I asked her if she wanted to go down the slide, to which she responded, "No, I swinging." OK, then.

I finally persuaded her to run around.

Fun with blocks.

Esther "fed" the cats. As our cats are pretty finicky, they turned their noses up to the magnets and the plastic popsicle set.

Yesterday, Esther made an army of little robots with her blocks. In fact, she is doing it again as I type.

OK, I haven't been as diligent lately about taking photos, so you'll have to make due with one measly picture of Esther and lots of blocks.

Here's a short dance video. Before we started filming her, E was rocking out with her dad. Of course, as soon as we got the camera out we only caught this little bit.

Not much new to report.

Still working on potty training. It's going pretty well and I think Esther enjoys wandering around without pants (or panties) most of the time. Still watching a lot of "Wall-E". Esther finally seems comfortable with her toddler bed, although we usually have to go in her room a few times a night to tell her to get into bed.
Hmm....

Another robot by Esther. I know I'm not the only one who enjoys these (right Nana Marilyn?).

E got some bath crayons for Christmas and decided they worked well for eye makeup. She wasn't too happy with me when I washed it off.

The rest of the photos were taken by Esther. Kinda interesting to me to see things from her perspective. We had to completely remove the lens cap because there were 152 black photos on her camera.
